What Is RTT®?

Rapid Transformational Therapy® was created by globally acclaimed therapist, Marisa Peer. It is a type of therapy designed to help people make positive changes in their lives by addressing the deeper parts of their mind. It's like a gentle and guided conversation with your own mind to better understand why you feel and act the way you do, and then making those feelings and actions more positive.

How Does RTT® Work?

RTT® involves talking to a trained hypnotherapist who uses a special kind of relaxation technique, similar to daydreaming, to help you access the part of your mind where your thoughts and beliefs are stored. This is called the subconscious mind. It's like the hidden control center of your thoughts and feelings.

During this relaxed state, I’ll help you explore why you might be feeling anxious, scared, or even happy about certain things. You might remember experiences from your past that have shaped the way you think. These past experiences are like puzzle pieces that, when put together, help us understand why we react the way we do now.

Why Is It "Transformational"?

The word "transformational" in RTT® means changing something for the better. My goal is to help you transform any negative or unhelpful thoughts or beliefs you might have into positive and useful ones. This could mean changing the way you think about yourself, your abilities, or even things that used to make you nervous or worried.

What Happens in an RTT® Session?

During an RTT® session:

  • Relaxation: You'll get comfortable and I will guide you into a relaxed state, similar to when you're lost in thought or just before you fall asleep.

  • Exploration: While you're relaxed, I will ask questions to help you explore why you feel the way you do. This might involve remembering certain experiences from your past.

  • Understanding: As you remember and talk about these experiences, you'll start to understand why you have certain thoughts and feelings. This understanding is an important step toward change.

  • Rewiring: With my guidance, you'll work on changing any negative thoughts or beliefs into positive ones. It's like updating the software of your mind to work better for you.

  • Empowerment: By the end of the session, you'll likely feel more empowered and positive about the changes you're making. I will also give you tools or techniques to continue improving after the session.

Is RTT® for Everyone?

RTT® can help a lot of people, but it's important to find a good fit with the therapist and to have an open mind. It's not about being "hypnotized" in the way you might see in movies; it's more like having a focused and insightful conversation with yourself.
